After accepting Islam, Khabbab bin Al-Aratt (R) was one of the oppressed believers who had no hope of protection or safety except for their strong belief in Allah's salvation. Khabbab (R) rose from the degrading life of slavery to become a teacher of Allah’s revelation and a warrior in His cause.

One of the earliest converts to Islam and supporters of Prophet Muhammad (S) was his cousin Az-Zubair bin Al-`Awwam (R) He accepted Islam when he was only fifteen years old. He grew up to be a great hero and warrior for the cause of the Muslims.
