Four Arabic coloring books, sold as a set, whose subject is character — raising children in the light of the words of the Master of the Righteous ﷺ.
Teaching Manners Through Pictures
Character is the hardest thing to teach a small child by instruction, because instruction is exactly what he tunes out. Telling a five-year-old to be truthful, to be kind to his brother, to greet people, to say what is good or stay silent — it goes in one ear.
Showing him a picture of it, and letting him spend five minutes coloring that picture, works differently. He looks at the scene properly, he asks what is happening in it, and the hadith attached to it arrives as an explanation of something he is already interested in rather than as a correction.
Arabic Only
Entirely in Arabic, which makes these well suited to Arabic-speaking households and Arabic-medium schools — and to any family that wants a child to associate Arabic with something he enjoys rather than only with lessons.
Who It Is For
Young children, roughly pre-school to early primary. Islamic schools and weekend academies, where a set of four covers a term. Parents wanting an activity that is genuinely quiet and genuinely useful at the same time.
