This is the Spanish translation of The Sealed Nectar (Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum), the Seerah book most often recommended to English readers, and for a simple reason: it won. In 1976 the Muslim World League announced a worldwide contest for the best biography of the Prophet ﷺ. One hundred and seventy-one manuscripts arrived from around the world in Arabic, Urdu, English, French and Hausa. The manuscript submitted by Shaykh Safi-ur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri of Jamiah Salafiyah, Banaras, took first place, and the prizes were presented at Makkah in 1399 AH (1979 CE).
What earned it that place is the sourcing. Every stage of the Prophet’s ﷺ life is traced through the Qur’an, authentic Sunnah and reliable classical narrations rather than the popular stories that accumulated over the centuries.

The narrative opens with Arabia before Islam, then moves through the Prophet’s ﷺ lineage and birth, his upbringing, his marriage to Khadijah, the first revelation at Hira, thirteen years of Makkan persecution, the Hijrah to Madinah, the building of the first Muslim community, the major expeditions and treaties, the conquest of Makkah, the Farewell Pilgrimage and his final days.
