To err is human. We fall into sins and mistakes through the ordinary business of a day — some we are aware of and find hard to avoid, and some we commit without ever realizing.

Because good deeds can be undone. The good acts we perform are nullified by certain kinds of sin and mistake, which means the only way to protect what we have built is to ask Allah for forgiveness.
