Allah called it the best of stories, and told it in a single surah from beginning to end — which He did for no other prophet. This set gives children the whole of it across three illustrated booklets.

Part 1 — Fire of Jealousy

The publisher's own framing is worth keeping. What could be stranger than a person becoming another's enemy on the grounds that the other is righteous and pious? And when that enmity is found in a real brother, it causes real pain.

In this story it is not one brother but ten, all igniting the same fire in themselves, all wanting to burn in it their innocent brother who knew nothing of their plan. He became their prey — and he did not despair of the help of Allah.

Part 2 — In the King's Court

The story continues into Egypt: the house he was sold into, the accusation, the prison, the dreams and their interpretation, and the rise that followed.

Why Children Take to It

Because it is a genuine narrative with reversals in it, and because the central figure is a boy when it begins. A child following Yusuf عليه السلام through betrayal, slavery, false accusation and prison — and watching him hold steady through all of it — learns what patience means without the word being used.
