A Collection of Authentic Invocations (مجموعة الأذكار الصحيحة) is a carefully assembled selection of supplications and remembrances drawn exclusively from the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). What sets this collection apart is its single, defining standard: authenticity. Every du’a’ and dhikr in its pages was collected and compiled from the works of the great Muhaddith of our era, Shaikh Muhammad Naasir-ud-Deen Al-Albaani (rahimahullah), whose lifelong service to the science of hadith was devoted to distinguishing the authentic from the weak and fabricated. The reader can therefore turn to this book with confidence, knowing that what he recites is established upon sound evidence.
The collection gathers the supplications a believer needs throughout the day and night — the adhkar of the morning and evening, the remembrances tied to the prayer, supplications for sleeping and waking, eating and drinking, entering and leaving the home, travel, distress and relief, and many more occasions of worship and daily life. By reviving these authentic words of remembrance, the Muslim fortifies his heart, draws nearer to his Lord, and follows the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) precisely as it has been reliably transmitted.
This edition is offered in two formats so you can choose what suits you best: a large size that is comfortable to read and keep at hand at home or in the masjid, and a thick, truly pocket-sized edition that travels easily wherever you go. One reviewer notes simply that it stays at the bedside and is read from daily — a fitting use for a book of this kind. It pairs naturally with a comprehensive daily reference such as Fortress of the Muslim (Large 6x9) and complements the focused booklet Selected Invocations, while standing out for its strict reliance on Shaikh Al-Albaani’s authentications.
Shaikh Muhammad Naasir-ud-Deen Al-Albaani (1914–1999, rahimahullah) is widely regarded as the foremost scholar of hadith of the modern age. Born in Albania and raised in Damascus, he devoted his life to the study, classification, and authentication of the Prophetic narrations, producing a vast body of work in which he graded countless ahadith as authentic or weak according to the established principles of the muhaddithoon. His scholarship revived attention to the authentic Sunnah across the Muslim world, and the supplications gathered in this volume are a fruit of that meticulous effort.
The work has been rendered into clear English by Rasheed Ibn Estes Barbee and published by Authentic Statements Publications. May Allah reward Shaikh Al-Albaani for preserving these treasures of du’a’ for the benefit of the Ummah, aid us in perfecting our worship and adhering to the Sunnah, and make us among the rightly guided. Aameen.
