The Seerah is an inexhaustible subject. Muslims never tire of its fragrance; it has been written about for centuries and will be until the Day of Judgment, with every author showing his love in his own style. Thousands of books exist on it in every language, and every corner of that noble life has been brought to writing.
So what does another one add? This one narrows its focus, and the narrowing is what makes it valuable.
Allah Almighty said of him: "And verily, you are upon an exalted standard of character." (Al-Qalam 68:4)
Character contains an enormous amount. It is a collection of all good qualities — and if we gathered together every good quality found among all the people of the world, we would find that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ possessed all of them, at the highest standard.
The book applies a test that is worth remembering on its own. Whenever you want to know the ethical values of a person or a nation, look at how they behave toward their companions, their relatives, their friends, their family members, their neighbors — and even toward their opponents. The moral code is what is judged first.
Measured that way, and he was educated by Allah Himself in such a manner as to make him the best-mannered person in the world.
How the Series Reads
Each piece stands on its own, so a reader takes one at a time rather than committing to a continuous narrative. That makes these books well suited to reading aloud at home, to classroom use, and to picking up for ten minutes — and printed in full color, which is a large part of why children will sit with them.
