Most Seerah books are written for adults and then handed to teenagers, who put them down. This one was written for them.
It is organized into sections covering the life and times of the Prophet ﷺ, with illustrated maps, pictures and diagrams to hold attention. The text is easy to read, educational, and carries attention-grabbing quotes presented so that they stay with the reader — which is the actual test for a book aimed at the young.
The Tour
Its most distinctive feature is the photography. It features recent images of the locations bound up with the Prophet's ﷺ life, so the book takes a reader back through history and gives him something close to a guided tour of the places blessed by his presence and by that of his righteous Companions.
For a young reader who has heard of Uhud and Badr and pictures nothing at all, seeing the actual ground changes the story from an abstraction into somewhere real.
