Salman Al-Farisi (R) In Quest of Truth (New Edition)

Salman Al-Farisi رضي الله عنه was born into a wealthy Persian family that worshipped fire. He could have stayed there comfortably for the whole of his life. Instead he left — and kept leaving, each time he learned that the truth lay somewhere further on.

He followed Christianity to Syria and served one teacher after another, each pointing him onward as he died. The last of them told him of a Prophet about to appear in a land of date palms. Salman traveled toward him, was betrayed and sold into slavery on the way, and finally met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Madinah as a slave — whereupon the Muslims bought his freedom.

His life is a living illustration of the Prophet's ﷺ words: whoever travels a path seeking knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise. This book relates the events of that search and the remarkable way he came to find and accept Islam.
