Imam Al-Bukhari spent sixteen years on this book. Before writing any hadith into it he prayed two rak'ah seeking guidance from Allah, and only when he was certain of a narration's authenticity did he include it.

Tremendous numbers of errors exist in translations of Al-Bukhari by other publishers. To eliminate that problem Dar-us-Salam spent over three years on this publication, and the result is the edition most widely relied on in English.
