Jami' At-Tirmidhi (6 Vol. Set)

For the first time ever in English, after years of painstaking effort, the complete Jami' At-Tirmidhi in six volumes.

It is distinctive among the six collections for what its compiler added rather than what he gathered. Imam At-Tirmidhi did not only assemble narrations — he graded them, recorded the differing opinions of the jurists on the rulings they support, and named which Companions had narrated similar reports.

That method effectively founded a discipline, and it is why his collection remains as useful to a student of fiqh as to a student of hadith. He studied under both Al-Bukhari and Muslim, and the rigor shows.
