Tafsir Surah Al-Kahf

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf as it was revealed, he will have a light on the Day of Judgment from his place to Makkah. And whoever recites ten verses from the end of it, then when the Dajjal appears, he will not harm him. And whoever performs wudu and says..."

Why This Surah Carries Such Specific Promises

Because its four stories — the People of the Cave, the man of the two gardens, Musa and Al-Khidr, and Dhul-Qarnayn — are together a sustained treatment of the trials that test faith: religious persecution, the temptation of wealth, the limits of knowledge, and the pursuit of worldly power. The Dajjal, when he appears, will test believers with a combination of exactly these trials.

That is why the narrations tie protection from the Dajjal specifically to this surah — not as an arbitrary reward for recitation, but because understanding its lessons is itself the preparation.
