The following is an explanation of some verses from the Mighty Book of Allah. I wrote it because, while reciting the Noble Qur'an, I pass by some verses and some of the treasures therein come to mind; thus, I wanted to illustrate those treasures. This goal was achieved — and all praise belongs to Allah — with the writing of this book; and while editing it, I thought to write concerning some other verses as well.

This book contains reflections on verses from chapters across the Qur'an, selected not by any systematic scheme but by what struck the author during his own recitation.

Why This Kind of Book Has Its Own Value

Because it is not a tafsir in the formal sense — it does not work through a surah verse by verse in sequence, weighing scholarly opinions. It is closer to what the classical tradition calls khawatir, reflections: the treasures a reader notices when he is actually paying attention rather than reciting on autopilot.

That makes it a useful companion to formal tafsir rather than a substitute for it — a model of what attentive recitation looks like, applied to a selection of verses.

Who It Is For

Readers who want to develop the habit of reflecting on the Qur'an as they recite it, and anyone who finds a formal tafsir heavier reading than they want for a daily sitting.
