Arabic: Sunan Al-Nasai

Sunan An-Nasa'i is held in particularly high regard for its methodology. Imam An-Nasa'i applied criteria in selecting narrations that many scholars consider the strictest of the four Sunan works — which means the proportion of authentic material in it is unusually high.

He was known for a critical eye toward narrators that was severe even by the standards of a discipline built on scrutiny, and for excluding material that other compilers would have admitted with a qualification.

The collection covers the essential areas of Islamic life — prayer, fasting, zakat and social conduct — and remains a primary reference for scholars and students working in the original language.
