Islamic history is taught in English-medium schools far less thoroughly than Islamic studies, and usually from material that was not designed for a classroom. This series was produced to meet a need that has been given insufficient attention.

The Scope of the Series

From the birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through to the end of the Ottoman Empire — roughly thirteen centuries, presented as a continuous story rather than as disconnected episodes.

This first volume is written for grade four, which is the age at which a child can hold a chronology in his head and start to see cause and effect between events.

Built for Flexible Timetabling

The book is deliberately of moderate length, to give a school choice in how it is used. It can be taught as a standalone once-a-week subject, or folded into an existing Social Studies or Islamic Studies curriculum.

That is a practical decision rather than an editorial one, and it is the reason the book fits into schedules that a longer text would not.
