Schools teaching Islamic studies in English have long had to assemble a curriculum out of whatever was available at each level, with no continuity between years. Darussalam produced this series to answer that: twelve books, one per grade, built as a single progression from a six-year-old's first lessons to an examinable course at grade 12.
What Every Grade Covers
All areas of Islamic studies — tafseer, hadeeth, tawheed, fiqh, seerah, and the general etiquette relating to different situations. The subjects recur at every level, treated at the depth the age allows, so a student meets each one repeatedly rather than once.
The Arabic Is Kept
Given the importance of Arabic Islamic terms, most are presented in the original Arabic script with transliteration and a translation of the meaning — and the same applies to supplications that have to be memorized in Arabic.
The aim is that a student can read the original text and understand what it says, rather than learning an English substitute for a term and never meeting the word itself.

Grades 11 and 12 are written as core texts for O Level and for Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Level Islamic Studies.
