No one in the history of Islam can be compared to him for truthfulness, for insight into the teachings of the religion, or for devotion to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. He was outstanding and unique in his commitment, his sincerity, and the wholehearted support he gave the Prophet ﷺ.

This volume covers his life before Islam and the immediate acceptance that earned him his title, the years of companionship, the migration, and the two years of caliphate in which he held together a community that came very close to breaking apart — the Ridda wars, and the decision to gather the Quran into a single written collection.
