History of Islam 5: Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan (R)

Mu'awiyah رضي الله عنه ruled for nearly twenty years. Through that long reign there was peace and prosperity at home as a rule, and abroad his rule was equally successful, extending the boundaries of Islam in all directions.

This volume takes the series past the Rightly Guided Caliphs and into the period that followed — a stretch of history that young readers are rarely given at all, and which they need if the story is to make sense from the Companions through to the empires that came after.

The publisher's hope for the volume is stated plainly: that it will move young readers to form a personal relationship with our pious predecessors, and to commit their own lives to the same mission — adherence to the Book of Allah and the way shown by His Messenger ﷺ, which they left behind as a common inheritance.
