Sunan An-Nasa'i complete in six volumes — available in English for the first time. This is Al-Mujtaba (as-Sunan as-Sughra), the synopsis of a larger collection, and it carries the fewest weak Ahadith after the two Sahihs.
About the Compiler
Imam Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb An-Nasa'i (rahimahullah, 215–303 AH) was born in the town of Nasa in Khurasan, a region that produced many of the great hadith scholars, and began travelling to seek knowledge at the age of fifteen. He studied under the teachers of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, including Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, and eventually settled in Egypt, where he taught for decades and became known as Hafidh al-Hadith for his command of the science. His scrupulousness with narrators went beyond even the norm for his field — he would only use precise wording like "he narrated to us" for what he heard directly, and reportedly went to the length of concealing himself outside a lecture hall to hear material he had been barred from attending in person. That same severity is what he applied when compiling his hadith, which is why later scholars such as Ibn Hajar noted that his collection contains the fewest weak narrations of the six books after Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, with no fabricated hadith at all.
What Is in the Set
What is published here is Al-Mujtaba, also called as-Sunan as-Sughra — the shorter work Imam An-Nasa'i distilled from his much larger As-Sunan al-Kubra, keeping only what met his exacting standard. This English edition, translated by Nasiruddin Al-Khattab, presents the Arabic text opposite the English translation across six hardback volumes, with the hadith arranged topically across 52 books covering purification, prayer, and outward through the fuller range of fiqh and belief. As with the other books in the series, each hadith is followed by comments addressing the issues it raises and helping readers draw out the practical rulings and lessons, rather than leaving the text to stand alone.

Ahadith are followed by comments explaining the issues raised and helping readers derive the lessons — which is what separates a usable translation from a bare one.
