The work of the great biographer of the recent past, Maulana Safi-ur-Rehman Mubarak Puri, is subtle. You are fortunate that your book “Al-Raheeq Al-Makhtum” has won the first prize in the international biographical competition organized by the Islamic World Association. Tajliyat-e-Nabuwwat is a medium-sized, rather short book for the benefit of students of religious schools, high schools, and the general public.

This book has taken into account the conditions and rules set by the capable author on the principles of biographical writing. All the events of the biography have been presented in a new order and in a fresh style, and the author has accessed authentic sources in the accuracy of the events of the biography, and the result of this search and investigation is that he does not find any incident that contradicts the principles of religion. Qazi Muhammad Suleman Mansoor Puri (1867-1930), Sessions Judge of the State of Patiala (East Punjab), does not need any introduction.

The book under consideration is one of the important books of the late Qazi, "Mehr-e-Nabuwt", which is included in the curriculum of educational institutions in Pakistan and India due to its usefulness and comprehensiveness. "Mehr-e-Nabuwt" is a short book, that is, a booklet. But the river of Seerah has been included in this jar. Thus, it is an excellent bouquet of the life of the Lord of the Universe, a fine example of brevity and comprehensiveness, and even better in quality, at a better price. Dar-ul-Salam has made both these books available to the reader.

ماضی قریب کے عظیم سیرت نگار مولانا صفی الرحمٰن مبارک پوری کی تصنیف لطیف ہے۔ آپ کو یہ سعادت حاصل ہے کہ آپ کی کتاب ’’الرحیق المختوم‘‘ کو رابطہ عالمِ اسلامی کے تحت منعقد ہونے والے بین الاقوامی انعامی مقابلہ سیرت نگاری میں اوّلیت کا شرف حاصل ہے۔ تجلیات نبوت، درأصل دینی مدارس، ہائی سکولوں کے طلبہ اور عامہ المسلمین کے استفادے کیلئے ایک متوسط بلکہ قدرےمختصر کتاب ہے۔

اس کتاب میں قابل مصنف کے اصولِ سیرت نگاری پر مرتب شرائط و ضوابط کو کما حقہ مدّ نظر رکھا ہے۔ سیرت کے تمام تر وقائع کو نئی ترتیب اور تازہ اسلوب کے ساتھ پیش کیا ہے اور واقعاتِ سیرت کی صحت میں مصنف نے مستند ماخذوں تک رسائی حاصل کیا ہے اور اس تلاش و جستجو کا یہ نتیجہ ہے کہ ان کے ہاں اصولِ دین سے متصادم کوئی واقعہ نہیں ملتا۔ قاضی محمد سلیمان منصور پوری(1867۔1930ء) سیشن جج ریاست پٹیالہ (مشرقی پنجاب) کی شخصیت محتاج تعارف نہیں۔

زیرنظر کتاب ’’مہرنبوت ‘‘ قاضی مرحوم کی کتبِ سیرت میں سے ایک اہم کتاب جو اپنی افادیت او رجامعیت کے پیش نظر پاک وہند کے تعلیمی اداروں میں شامل نصاب ہے ۔’’مہر نبوت ‘‘ کہنے کو مختصرسی کتاب یعنی کتابچہ ہے ۔لیکن اس کوزے میں دریائے سیرت کوسمیٹ لیاگیا ہے ،یوں یہ سرورکائنات کی حیات طیبہ کا ایک بہترین گلدستہ ،ایجاز وجامعیت کا عمدہ نمونہ اور آنچہ بقامت کہتر،بہ قیمت بہتر ۔ کا صحیح مصداق ہے۔ دارالسلام نے ان دونوں کتابوں کو قاری کی آسانی کے لیے ملا کر شائع کیا ہے۔
