About the Author

Maulana Muhammad Idrees Kandhlawi was a prolific 20th-century Indian Islamic scholar born in Kandhla, Uttar Pradesh, into a family of scholars. He authored numerous works spanning Islamic history, religion, law and spirituality, including the widely read Fazail-e-Amaal and Hayat-us-Sahaba alongside this history of the early conquests.
