Why Question and Answer
The Prophet ﷺ used several ways of teaching his Companions, and among them was the method of questions and answers — because of the excitement it produces, the way it sharpens the mind, and how firmly it fixes a meaning.
The example given is the hadith of Mu'adh, when the Prophet ﷺ asked him: "Do you know the right of Allah upon His servants, and the right of the servants upon Allah?" Mu'adh answered that Allah and His Messenger know best — and the answer that followed stayed with him for life, in a way a statement would not have.
