The Hidden Pearls is an attempt at completeness. The compilers set out to include everything relating to the final Messenger of Allah ﷺ — neither overlooking nor trivializing a single minor event or secondary fact — chronicling every incident from his birth to his death.
Each event was thoroughly researched, examined and vetted by a thirteen-member committee, then written in an easy, flowing style. The project has been deliberately impersonal and objective in all technical matters, including in its research methodology.
More Than a Chronicle
The work describes in detail the social conditions of the Prophet's ﷺ times, the modes of life, and the habits and temperament of the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula together with the general conditions of the peoples around them.
All of this is essential to a proper understanding of the age in which he lived — the most brilliant epoch of human history — and to discovering why Allah chose the Arabian Peninsula as his birthplace and the starting point of a sacred, universal mission.
The hope the compilers express is worth quoting the substance of: that readers will be transported mentally and spiritually to the era of the Prophet ﷺ, feeling as though they were experiencing that blessed age — instructed, chastened and refined morally and spiritually by it.
What Is in This Set
Both are printed in full color on glossy paper and illustrated with pictures and maps. Further volumes will become available once translated and printed, and each can also be bought individually.
A Note on the Title
This is not a translation of the four-volume Arabic work bearing the same name. It is a new work compiled by Darussalam, originally in Urdu, now being translated into other languages.
