The publisher's introduction states the intention exactly, and it is worth quoting the substance of it.
It is the call of our father Ibrahim عليه السلام, as Allah commanded him: "So fill some hearts among men with love toward them." (Surah Ibrahim 14:37)
The heart longs to see these places and wishes to live there, if only for a few hours, seeking pardon, forgiveness and reward. This album was produced in a language everyone understands — the language of pictures — in the hope that readers will enjoy it, recall memories, and pray that they might see these places with their own eyes.
What Is in It
Photographs of Masjid Al-Haram and the Ka'bah, of Masjid An-Nabawi, and of the surrounding sites of significance — the places a pilgrim visits and the places he reads about. Some are rare, which is what makes this a collector's item as well as a family book.
Every picture is briefly explained in Arabic, Urdu, Persian, English, Indonesian and Turkish. Six languages is an unusual choice for a single volume and a sensible one for this subject: the album can be given to almost any Muslim household anywhere.
Who It Is For
Anyone who has performed Hajj or Umrah and wants something to return to. Anyone who has not yet gone — which is what the introduction is really addressed to. Families with children, for whom seeing these places regularly builds an attachment that description does not.
It is also one of the better gifts we stock. A large-format color album asks nothing of the recipient, works for any age, and crosses language entirely.
