Issuing a fatwa properly requires more than good intentions: knowledge of the Qur'an and the Ahadith and the ability to use them as evidence, familiarity with where consensus lies, and enough command of Arabic to work from the texts directly and derive proofs from them. Each chapter opens with an introduction to the subject, followed by the questions and answers themselves.
