This is the full-color deluxe edition of The Sealed Nectar (Ar-Raheequl Makhtum) — the same award-winning Seerah by Shaykh Safi-ur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri that took first prize in the Muslim World League's worldwide contest on the life of the Prophet ﷺ, rebuilt as an illustrated reference. It carries roughly 215 pages more than the standard edition, printed throughout in color on glossy paper.
What the Extra Pages Give You
Seerah is geography as much as chronology, and that is where a plain text edition leaves readers guessing. Here the additional material does the explaining:
- Maps tracing the Hijrah route, the expeditions and the tribal territories of Arabia
- Battle diagrams showing troop positions at Badr, Uhud, the Trench and Hunayn
- Timelines that place Makkan and Madinan events in order at a glance
- Family trees untangling Quraysh lineages and the Prophet's ﷺ household
- Photographs and illustrations of the terrain, sites and artefacts of the Hijaz
A reader following the march to Badr can see the wells and the ridge. A teacher explaining the Battle of the Trench can point at the trench. This is the edition families read together, and the one Islamic schools and weekend academies choose when the Seerah has to be taught rather than merely read.
The Text Itself
The narrative is unchanged and complete: Arabia before Islam, the Prophet's ﷺ lineage and birth, his upbringing, the marriage to Khadijah رضي الله عنها, the first revelation, the Makkan years of persecution, the Hijrah, the founding of the Madinan state, the treaties and expeditions, the conquest of Makkah, the Farewell Pilgrimage and his final days. Throughout, Al-Mubarakpuri works from the Qur'an, authentic Sunnah and reliable classical sources, and draws out the lesson behind each event rather than leaving it as bare history.
"Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often." (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:21)
