What Makes It a Workbook Rather Than a Book

Because reading about the three principles and being able to answer on them are different things, and only one of them is tested in the grave.

The text is deliberately simple. The activities are what do the work — and they give a parent something that a reading book cannot: the ability to gauge a child's strengths and weaknesses on each principle, and to see exactly where the understanding is thin.

Written for Both

The publisher is explicit that it provokes thought and understanding for the child along with the parent. That is worth taking at face value. A fair number of adults have held these three principles since childhood without ever being asked to explain them, and working through a child's workbook is a low-embarrassment way to find out.
