Makkah's importance to Muslims is obvious; the historical record of how its sanctity and sites developed across centuries is far less commonly known. Tareekh Makkah Mukarramah (تاریخ مکہ مکرمہ) sets out to give the reader an integrated picture of the holy city — not a purely historical survey, but a focused account of the events that shaped Makkah's development, sanctity, and religious status.

The book opens with the sacred nature of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the boundaries of the Haram and its sanctity, then moves through the superiority of Makkah as attested in the Ahadith, the meaning behind its various names, and its connection to Prophets Ibrahim and Isma'il (عليهما السلام) — whose presence gave the city its central sanctity through the Ka'bah itself.
