Alá dice: «Hoy he perfeccionado para ustedes su religión y completado Mis favores para ustedes, y he elegido el Islam como su religión (forma de vida)» (5:3); «Por cierto, la religión ante Alá es el Islam…» (3:19). El Islam es una forma de vida establecida por Alá el Todopoderoso para asegurar el éxito de Su creación en este mundo y en la Otra Vida; quien se aferra a él está en el camino recto (Sirat al-Mustaqím) y encaminado hacia la gran recompensa del Paraíso (Jannat al-Firdaws).
