Arabic For Beginners is a series written by Shaykh Muhammad S. Adly, Director of the Islamic Center of Columbia, South Carolina, with the intent of teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers by the simplest methods. The series is the culmination of twenty-five years of experience teaching Arabic to new Muslims in masajid, the Department of Corrections and free college programs.
This book is the first in the series to teach grammar, including sentence structure and the proper usage of verbs.
Because a student who can already read and has some vocabulary has something for the grammar to operate on. Introduced earlier, grammar is a set of abstract rules about a language he cannot yet use.
Each book assumes the one before it. Starting in the middle is possible if you already have the earlier skills, but the series is built to be taken in order.
