Arabic for Beginners Book 3 - Elementary

This book is designed for the Arabic learner who has mastered the Arabic alphabet and is ready for reading words and learning the basic rules for applying vowels. Upon completion of this book, the learner should be able to read the Qur'an.

The beginning lessons review basic three-letter words with fathah, kasrah and dammah. The further lessons provide more advanced vowel constructions and longer words, with sufficient practice for the learner to gain confidence.

Why This Is the Pivotal Volume

Because it is the one that produces a reader. A student who stops after the alphabet knows twenty-eight shapes and cannot open a mushaf; a student who finishes this book can.

The Complete Series

Each book assumes the one before it. Starting in the middle is possible if you already have the earlier skills, but the series is built to be taken in order.

About the Author

Shaykh Muhammad S. Adly is Director of the Islamic Center of Columbia, South Carolina.
