Home Sweet Home is a thoughtful and practical guide to nurturing harmony, peace, and correct Islamic relationships within the household. Authored by Sheikh Belal Assaad, the softcover edition spans 161 pages and is printed in two-color text.
What the Book Covers
At its heart, this book explores how relationships — especially those among spouses, parents, children, and neighbors — shape one’s sense of psychological peace and identity. It counsels readers to understand their rights and duties within the fold of Islamic teachings, thereby empowering them to establish healthy boundaries and manage conflict wisely.
Sheikh Belal combines insights from Qur’an and authentic Hadith with psychological concepts to address real challenges in daily family life: irritation, communication breakdown, unresolved conflicts, and imbalanced expectations. He reminds believers that faith (iman) colors how we interact, resolve tensions, and uphold patience and justice in our homes.
Through reflective questions, practical examples, and gentle reminders, Home Sweet Home encourages readers to ponder the root causes of conflict — not merely treat symptoms — and to apply prophetic manners in household life. The result is a holistic approach to building a family environment where mutual respect, compassion, and Islamic principles guide relationships.
