This book relates the true stories of the prophets using the descriptions found in the verses of the Quran and the authentic narrations of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The people of the book and those who study religion identify with the Jewish and Christian Bibles as a source of the stories of the prophets. However, the prior scriptures have been distorted, and the truth has been mixed with falsehood, so these writings are not the true descriptions of the prophets. Instead, the true descriptions are found in the preserved Quran and the preserved chains of narrations to the last prophet.
The book begins with the creation of Adam and describes the time before prophethood after which it narrates the stories of prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon them all. The stories describe the difficulties the prophets faced as they conveyed the message to worship The One God and to abandon the worship of others. For each prophet, sister Kamillah has described the key scenes in his life and the key stages in his mission. The book concludes with the message to believe in The One God to worship only Him, and to believe in all of His prophets without making distinction between them. Indeed, this is the call to Islam and the call of God's prophets.
Sister Kamillah is an American Muslim who has been a Muslim for over 45 years. Her ancestors came to America onboard the Abigail in the year 1635. She was raised in a Christian household and kept close to the religion and the church. However, she did not believe in the Trinity nor that God had a son. She believed in The One God and that Jesus was a prophet of God. Thus, she embarked on a spiritual journey in search of the truth. She visited religious institutions and studied different religions until she embraced Islam in the late 1970s after recognizing it to be the religion of pure monotheism. She has remained a devout Muslim and a student of knowledge who calls to monotheism and the original teachings of the religion. She is a writer who is known for presenting evidence so readers can take it from where she took it. We ask Allah, the Exalted, to bestow His mercy and blessings upon her. Truly He is The Most Generous, The Most Appreciative.
