Explanation of Imam Ahmad's Foundations of the Sunnah

This book is an explanation of the famous book of Imam Ahmed, Usool us Sunnah or Foundations of the Sunnah. A text written on the Creed of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah. A book that deserves to be memorized. The Explanation is given by the Sahikh Rabee' Ibn Haadee 'Umayr al-Madkhalee of our time who is a staunch defender of the Sunnah. This book includes the best of both worlds, the text of 'Usool us Sunnah' along with the explanation of Shaikh Rabee' Ibn Haadee 'Umayr al-Madkhalee. Therefore it should be memorized. The Scholars have encouraged the students and the youth to memorize this book, because of its great importance on the topic of creed of Ahlus Sunnah wa Jama'ah.

About the Author

Dr. Rabr bin Hadi bin Muhammad bin Umayr al-Madkhali – former Graduate Studies Professor and Department Head at the Islamic University of al-Madinah was born in 1351 H/1933 CE, in the village of al Jar’diyyah, approximately three kilometers west of Samitah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is from the students of Abdul-Aziz bin Baz, Muhammad Nasr ad-Din al-Alb’ani, Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbad, Muhammad Amin ash Shanqiti, and many others. He has authored over thirty books, ranging in size and genre. The most famous of these writings is The Methodology of The Prophets in Calling to Allah. The scholarly praise and recommendation of Dr. Rabi’ is well known and documented. He currently resides in the city of al-Madinah where he spends his time teaching, writing, issuing religious verdicts, and advising Muslims throughout the world
