Buying six books on creed means six books to store, six to carry and six chances to lose your place between them. This volume binds them into one, at a size that fits a bag.

The Six Works

  • Kitab At-Tauhid — Shaykh-ul-Islam Muhammad ibn 'Abdul-Wahhab's foundational text on Islamic monotheism
  • Religious Fundamentals — the same author on Tawhid, shirk and nifaq
  • The Virtue of Tawhid and a Warning Against What Contradicts It — compiled by the Dar-us-Salam Research Division
  • The Authentic Creed and Invalidators of Islam — Shaykh 'Abdul-'Aziz ibn Baz on the six pillars of Iman and what nullifies Islam
  • Islamic Creed — Shaykh Muhammad bin Jamil Zino
  • 50 Questions and Answers on Islamic Monotheism — compiled by the Dar-us-Salam Research Division

Why These Six Together

They are not six treatments of the same material. Each does a different job, and the order builds.

Kitab At-Tauhid establishes the foundations chapter by chapter from the Qur'an and Sunnah. Religious Fundamentals pins down the three terms that must be distinguished. The Virtue of Tawhid supplies the motivation — what monotheism actually earns. Shaykh Ibn Baz's treatise sets out the articles of faith and, critically, the boundary beyond which a person leaves Islam. Shaykh Zino writes for the beginner in plain language. And the fifty questions and answers let a reader test whether any of it has held.

Between them they take a person from knowing nothing about Aqeedah to holding it securely enough to explain.

Made to Be Carried

The pocket format is the point. Creed is the subject Muslims most often intend to study and least often get to, because the books sit at home. This one travels — a commute, a waiting room, a trip — and works equally for personal study, for da'wah, and as a compact gift for someone starting out.

Asalam Alaikum, A very simple Book. Very good for cross references and very nicely the Hadith & Quranic verses have been provided as proofs for claims. All in all a very good book to have.

In my humble opinion one of the BEST things Dar-us-Salam publications has ever done is to offer these pocket size books! When you are on the train, waiting for the bus, riding on the bus, waiting for the elevator, waiting for a meeting, waiting in line at the store, waiting for class, waiting to pick up your kids, etc. you now have something you can pull out of your jacket pocket or bag and read! For the price these books also make great gifts for everyone. This small little book is nice [in particular] because it contains a nice cross section of material including the brilliant and essential Kitab At-Tauhid by Shaikhul-Islam Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab [May Allah reward him] and the very nice '50 Questions and Answers' section.

This is my favorite read. While waiting for Salat to begin at the masjid. As well as what a previous reviewer wrote. Perfect for those idle times. The cover and the pages are superb quality. The font size is just right, both the Arabic and English scripts.
