Clove has been used for oral care for as long as anyone has written about oral care. It contains eugenol, which is what gives it the warm, numbing character people associate with clove oil and the dentist's chair. This paste pairs it with Ceylon cinnamon and a blend of herbs, clays and natural salts.
Alongside clove and cinnamon, the formula also includes neem, black seed (Nigella sativa), tea tree oil, babool, coconut oil, ginger, lemon, fennel seed, chamomile, ajwain, patchouli and wintergreen oil.
No fluoride, sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), saccharin, parabens or added color. The packaging also lists no gluten, GMOs, alcohol, bleaching agents, hexane, organic solvents, herbicides or pesticides.
It is 100% vegetarian and vegan, and the box carries a halal mark. That matters more in toothpaste than most people realize, since glycerin and some flavor carriers are commonly animal sourced.
Warm and slightly spicy from the clove and cinnamon, with a cool finish from the menthol and wintergreen. It is noticeably different from a commercial paste, and people either take to it immediately or need a week.
Brush twice daily for at least 2 minutes, covering all areas of the teeth. Spit and rinse thoroughly after brushing. Do not swallow. Children 6 years and under should use only a pea-sized amount under adult supervision.

This is a fluoride-free toothpaste. Fluoride is the ingredient recognized by dental authorities for cavity prevention, so a fluoride-free paste should be chosen as a preference rather than as an equivalent, and anyone at higher risk of decay, children included, should ask their dentist what is right for them.
If the paste is accidentally swallowed in more than a small amount, or you have any reaction while using it, consult a doctor or dentist.
Brushing twice daily, flossing, and regular dental checkups remain the basis of oral care whichever paste you use.
