From haunted houses and levitating objects to demons invading and taking over human bodies, there are abundant films in the Western world focusing on this phenomenon. It is from human nature to be intrigued by the unknown and unseen. But what does Islam say concerning this mysterious world?

It is actually part of a Muslim's religion to believe in the unseen, to believe in the world of the Jinn, and to believe that magic is real. Most of us are unaware of the reality of the Jinn who live alongside us and interact with us in more ways than we can imagine.

The Questions This Book Answers

  • What is the correct Islamic viewpoint on the Jinn and the affairs connected to them?
  • Can magic really affect us?
  • Do Jinn have the ability to possess and harm us?
  • Can we go to fortune-tellers?
  • What is the evil eye?
  • And most importantly of all — how do we protect and cure ourselves from Jinn possession, magic and the evil eye?

The authors provide an unprecedented, detailed account of the topic, answering each of these in turn.

Introduction by Shaykh Ibn Baz

The book carries an introduction by Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz (rahimahullah) — former Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, and among the most authoritative scholars of the modern era to write on this subject.

Why This Subject Needs Careful Handling

Because Muslims get it wrong in both directions. Some dismiss the whole area as superstition, which contradicts explicit texts. Others attribute every misfortune to sihr or the evil eye, which produces paralysis and sends people to practitioners who are themselves the actual danger.

A treatment grounded in the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah corrects both errors: the reality is affirmed, and the exaggeration is not.

Who It Is For

Any Muslim who has encountered claims about magic or the evil eye and wants to know what is actually established rather than inherited as folk belief.

ALhamdulillah. This book should be taken very seriously to know about what the jinnat are, how they act towards mankind and how to deal with them if they interfere with our lives. A home where ALLAH SWT is remembered and His Holy Words are recited there's no place for jinnat and shayateen to enter. Great book.
