Expeditions and Delegations in the Life of Prophet Muhammad (S)
Darussalam is proud to present the abridged English translation of the classic work: Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah, focusing exclusively on the delegations and expeditions undertaken in the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
This volume contains an account of the some of the most important expeditions and delegations that occurred in the lifetime and under the leadership of the Messenger of Allah. These events had a significant impact on the spread of the Islamic faith to all the corners of Arabia and beyond.
Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah (The Beginning and The End) by the renowned scholar Abu Al-Fida 'Imad ad-Deen Isma'eel bin 'Umar ibn Katheer/Kathir, is considered one of the most authoritative sources on Islamic history.
These textbooks (for the eleventh & twelfth grade levels) are part of the Islamic Education series which covers all areas of Islamic studies: tafseer, hadeeth, tawheed, fiqh, seerah, and general etiquette relating to different areas and situations. Every effort has been made to ensure that the material presented in the series is authentic, and most of the terms are presented in their original Arabic script, along with the transliteration and the translation of their meanings. This also applies to supplications which have to be memorized in their Arabic version. The aim here is to help the reader read the original text and understand its meaning. Each lesson is followed by exercises covering questions about the lesson.
This current booklet discusses the importance and etiquette of supplications. It also discusses the times and circumstances under which supplications should be made.
It presents a number of supplications and shows how a Muslim can treat himself with verses From the Qur'an and from the Prophetic supplications (ruqyah) against some diseases, sorcery, the evil eye, and other ailments.
A Treatise Hijab
And Compilation of Questions Pertaining to Family Matters
No one denies that the modesty which is commanded by Islamic Law and by
convention includes the decency and decorousness demanded of a woman,
and the kind of behavior that will ensure that she is kept far away from
situations of temptation and suspicion. Further more, there is no doubt
that the greatest act of modesty that she can perform is to wear the
hijab, which covers her face. It is the best thing with which she can
adorn herself, because it protects her and keeps her far removed from
While many Muslims are isolated from their religion, they have been
exposed to many foreign ideas. This is a dangerous issue, but what is
even more dangerous is when disbelievers bring their filth of western
societies to Muslims in order to deceive them and insert ideas that are
normally unacceptable in Muslim societies.
More dangerous than that is the fact that those ideas are adopted and
supported by streams of groups belonging to Islaam, such as the
Ikhwaanul-Muslimeen, Hizbut-Takhreer, and others. They attempt to
beautify these ideas with an Islaamic flavor in order to make them more
palatable to the unknowing observer. Hence, standing against those ideas
is considered a great kind of Jihaad for the sake of Allaah...
We complied this research from a study we prepared on Democracy based
on the Rulings of Imaam Muqbil Ibn Haadee al-Waadiee? and his prominent
students proving that democracy is unrelated to Islaam reagardless of
what the carriers of this deviant ideology may bring to deceive the
uninformed. Also we have preceded this research with the book Unity & Abandonment of Parties by the noble scholar Shaykh Saalih Fawzaan ibn Abdullaah al-Fawzaan to explain the unity of the Muslims...
