Three obligations, one wallet, one confused Muslim

Zakat, 'Ushr, and Sadaqat-ul-Fitr are three distinct financial obligations in Islam, calculated differently, owed on different kinds of wealth, and due at different times — and it is entirely common for practicing Muslims to conflate them or miscalculate what they owe. Zakat, Ushr awr Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (زکوٰۃ، عشر اور صدقۃ الفطر) is an Urdu fiqh manual written to remove exactly that confusion.

The book explains the nisab (minimum threshold) and rate for Zakat on cash, gold, silver, and trade goods; the separate ruling and rate of 'Ushr on agricultural produce, which depends on whether the land is rain-fed or irrigated; and the fixed, per-person obligation of Sadaqat-ul-Fitr due before the 'Eid prayer — each explained with its evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah rather than left as an unsourced rule of thumb.
