Hardback Removal Service

Many correctional facilities do not allow inmates to receive hardback (hardcover) books for security reasons. Our Hardback Removal Service solves this: before we ship your order, we carefully remove the hard cover from each hardback title so the book can be mailed to a prisoner as an allowed soft item.

Please read carefully: The hard cover is removed and is not replaced with a paperback or any other cover. The book ships without its cover. This service does not convert a hardback into a bound paperback edition.

Who is this for?

This service is for customers sending Islamic books to inmates in jails and prisons that prohibit hardcover books. Before ordering, please confirm with the facility's chaplain or mailroom that they will accept books with the hard cover removed. Policies vary by institution, and we cannot be held responsible for items rejected by a facility.

How to order

• Add this service to your cart along with the hardback book(s) you are ordering.
• Set the quantity to match the number of hardback books in your order — the service is $1.00 per book.
• For multi-volume sets, enter 1 for each volume that has a hard cover.

Important — NO RETURNS: Books with the hard cover removed are not eligible for return or exchange. If an order is returned to us, it can be reshipped with applicable shipping & handling charges but cannot be refunded.
