Islamic jurisprudence — fiqh — is the discipline that deduces practical rulings from the Qur'an and Sunnah so that Muslims can put Islamic teachings into practice in every area of life, and until now Spanish-speaking Muslims have had far fewer serious references available in their own language than English or Arabic speakers. Jurisprudencia Islámica, a complete two-volume set, exists to close exactly that gap.
What the set covers
These volumes deal with fiqh topics covering the full range of human life — the rites of worship, human interactions, trade, contracts, and international relations, alongside the administrative laws of justice, war, and peace. The work aims to convey, in simple terms, the basic precepts every Muslim should know and apply daily, offering answers for every question with knowledge and wisdom.
Why a two-volume structure
Splitting the material across two volumes allows each area of fiqh room to be explained properly rather than compressed into a single overview — worship and personal conduct in the first, and the wider civil, commercial, and political rulings in the second, giving readers a genuinely comprehensive reference rather than an introductory pamphlet.

La Jurisprudencia Islámica (Fiqh) es la ciencia que estudia cada uno de los distintos dictámenes y los deduce de sus fuentes originales: el Corán y la tradición Profética (Sunnah); para que los musulmanes puedan ponerlos en práctica en todos los aspectos de su vida. Por consiguiente, la Jurisprudencia Islámica (Fiqh) abarca todos los aspectos de la vida humana para así poder ofrecer un juicio (Hukm) a cada cuestión, y contiene desde los ritos de adoración (Ibadat) hasta las relaciones jurídicas de todo tipo (Mu'amalat), como por ejemplo las familiares, las comerciales, las contractuales, las políticas y las internacionales. Así también los procedimientos criminales y la administración de justicia, la guerra y la paz. El esfuerzo empeñado en este trabajo tiene como finalidad transmitir de manera sencilla y concisa los preceptos básicos que todo musulmán debe conocer y aplicar en su vida diaria.
